WHAT IS BESPOKE ?

During the days of traveling to and from the North and South and since I started writing a blog to share with readers about clothing, there have been many readers, partners, and brothers and sisters in the business world who, when meeting me, asked what the word "bespoke" is that people often use. Many people still think it is the store's own name or something vague, but do not imagine bespoke as a clothing product, a tailor-made product.

I will always talk about the concept of bespoke and its benefits as well as why I created a blog or business system to preserve and help readers understand the value of truly tailored or bespoke clothing. If you observe or go to other countries, the art of bespoke has not been lost or there have not been many changes in craft specifications and processes.

In this article, it is difficult for me to present all the elements of bespoke to readers, however I will send you basic information about the concept and its benefits.

What is Bespoke?

Basically, these are clothing items such as clothes, suits or shirts that are completely tailored. The tailoring I'm talking about here is that each suit is made specifically according to the customer's own measurements and customized according to the customer's requests for materials and colors. When it comes to clothes and costumes, we must mention the pattern, pattern, or in English, pattern. This is like a piece by piece drawing

Speaking more about the measurements, maybe I have to emphasize that these measurements are not adjusted based on an existing set of patterns (in Vietnamese, balm and pattern) but bespoke, each customer has their own set of balm made/ arab. This is so that the suit fits your body perfectly. Therefore, if we divide the types of items such as ready-made, made to measure, made to order and then bespoke into a pyramid, then here Bespoke is the top of the pyramid and is the thing with the highest value.

So what are the characteristics of bespoke? It's the fit, the uniqueness, and the experience. Normally, bespoke items can be observed through fitting. For foreign tailor shops or at Vietnam Bespoke Shop (business team developed from Truespoke), there will always be a minimum of two times. During those two times, the suit will gradually be formed step by step, and each tailor can understand what each mold, each layer, and tenon layer behind it is for or how to handle it. . Therefore, here the characteristic of tailoring is not only the fit and fine-tuning, but also the experience of the process by which a meticulous suit is created.

On the other hand, for a wearer, it is also a meticulous journey to understand clothing materials and different types of fabrics. From worsted wool to flannel , merino wool, mohair, cashmere with different weaves to create unique experiences. On the other hand, the different designs that Truespoke we mentioned in 2 parts ( 1 & 2 ) are also an interesting journey

Different from Bespoke, Made to Measure (MTM) is also a concept that has appeared a lot recently or some brands use MTM technology but put it in Bespoke packaging. The nature of Made to Measure clothes is that you come to try on a shirt and see the length and shortness, adjust the excess and choose the fabric, as opposed to bespoke where you come to be measured and the shirt is created to try on you.
